In February, a crucial gathering took place to finalize plans for O’STAD200, marking Aruba’s inaugural business incubator initiative. This endeavor, spearheaded by Impact Hub Aruba in partnership with the Aruba Chamber of Commerce and the University of Aruba, is progressing towards realization. With the endorsement of the Minister of Economic Affairs, Communications, and Sustainable Development, Ostad200 stands as a collaborative effort aimed at nurturing entrepreneurial spirit on the island.
The assembly featured key figures from Impact Hub Aruba, co-founders Mrs. Mary-Ann Rasmijn-Falconi, Mr. Elthon Lampe, and Mr. Alberto Perret-Gentil. The Aruba Chamber of Commerce was represented by Mr. Diederik Kemmerling, Mr. Martijn Balkestein and Ms. Sue-Ellen de Freitas, alongside Kristen Haime and Charissa Hoen-Daly from the University of Aruba.
Impact Hub Aruba’s co-founder & General Manager, Mary-Ann Rasmijn-Falconi, shed light on the incubator’s preparatory phase, outlining its strategic plan, financial blueprint, and goals. The community eagerly anticipates the launch of the Ostad200 program, which promises to be a catalyst for economic vitality and innovative advancements in Oranjestad.
